Shelter Tours
You Can Rescue does a monthly shelter tour at a shelter in the Carolinas. We hope to expand to other states one day too. We encourage people in their community to tour their own shelters, sign up to volunteer, share adoptable animals, and give back to the facility by walking dogs, cleaning, and taking content. You do not have to foster or adopt to help the rescue community or help your local shelter!
Pretty Pampered Pup
You Can Rescue highlights the importance of taking shelter dogs out of their environment since there are many benefits to it. Not only are you giving a dog a break from the stressful environment, but you are showcasing their personality outside of that environment and helping capture content that appeals to potential adopters. Most shelters allow approved volunteers to participate in activities like this!
